Meet Capt. Tom – The Heart of High Times Charters

Born and raised in Aruba, Capt. Tom has been surrounded by the ocean for as long as he can remember. His passion for fishing and boating began early—by the age of 11, he was already maintaining, working, and fishing on a variety of boats, including private vessels, charters, and sailboats. It was during these formative years that Tom realized his true love for the fishing lifestyle and the magic of life on the water.

In 2004, driven by a desire to expand his skills and gain global experience, Tom ventured to Europe to pursue education and work in management and hospitality. His journey took him to The Netherlands (Leeuwarden and Eindhoven), England (Plymouth), and Germany (Düsseldorf and Hamburg), where he developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in customer service and operations.

But no matter how far he went, the pull of Aruba’s turquoise waters and the thrill of fishing never left him. After more than a decade abroad, the call of the sea became impossible to ignore, and Tom returned to his beloved island. Back home, he dove straight into what he loves most—fishing, boating, and life on the water.

In 2022, Capt. Tom turned his lifelong passion into reality by founding High Times Charters, a company dedicated to sharing the joy of fishing and Aruba’s stunning beauty with others. With years of hands-on experience, a deep connection to the island, and a love for the sea, Capt. Tom is committed to delivering unforgettable adventures for every guest who steps aboard.
